At the start
It all started many many years ago, well actually it was over a cup of tea last
week, (begining of June 2007).. we were having to travel to somerset to trial and we were going somewere else to pay and play.
So we thought lets start a club and try and do these things locally. So here we are. The idea is that we all meet up once a month for a natter and a drink, we can then plan things for the month,
Laning, pay and play, set up a trial or even use our trucks on the roads! We can then publish it on our web site
so every one can join in, and then stick some photos on.
Now two and a half years on,we are still doing what we
set out to achieve. The club now has over 100 members, and steadily growing, and the monthly natter at
'Ye Olde Smokey' is proving ever popular. We are still holding a monthly trial, which now features a lunchtime barbeque, for
which we can all stand under the newly acquired club gazebo. Laning is still proving popular, with a variety of different
groups and abilitys venturing onto devons green lanes. Branching out,the club is also taking part in extra activities with
other organisations, such as wooden spoon, eastnor castle, challenge south west and trago play and pay. Camping and laning
weekends have also proved to be a success, with another brixham steam fayre under our belt, and trips to wales and cornwall. A
huge thank you to all who have made the club a success....thats you..the members.
